The Massage Shiatsu was created in Japan with influence in Chinese medicine.
This technique is based on the same principles as acupuncture, working the meridians of the body, but in this case, instead of using needles one uses pressure exerted with the thumbs, fingers, and palms. Using the Shiatsu techniques unlocks the energy channels (Ki), which in some cases are blocked and can eventually cause illness.
Shiatsu is especially used in palms, but it can also be combined with the feet, elbows and knees, as well as make use of stretching, mobilization and rotations.
